About Me

I have always been in theater.  Born to a pair of dinner-theater owners, I made my debut onto the stage at an early age playing Nora's daughter in A Doll's House with the memorable line, "No."  I started sewing early on, spending tons of time with my grandmother, an experienced seamstress, making doll clothes and stuffed animals.  My first foray into costumes was in high school, as the costume crew chief for my freshman year production of The Wiz.  After that, there was no going back.  I headed up the costume crew at my high school for four years, then moved onto college costumes.  Although I always continued performing, and was even an acting/directing major, I never stopped sewing and costuming.  Following graduation from college, I began work for my parents' company, Theatre & Kids/On Stage & Off.  In the past, I have also worked at Jo Ann Fabric & Crafts and the Weathervane Theater.  I made the big move to NYC a few short years ago, and have been working as an off-broadway Wardrobe Supervisor on various shows.  I began selling my hand-crocheted hats online, and am pleased to be able to offer them for sale now with a variety of other products as well!  I recently got married, so you may have known me as Betsy C. Liegel, but I am now Betsy Falk!
