Miss Saigon
Weathervane Theater - Whitefield, NH

The Weathervane Theater in Whitefield, NH produced Miss Saigon as the last show in its 2006 summer season.  The show posed a lot of difficulties for the theatre, as the stock of BDUs and Asian folkwear was low.  I was able to call Theatre & Kids and borrow peasant and other such Asian-looking clothing for the ensemble, and ordered the BDUs from a website.  We also built quite a few other pieces for the show as you will find as you read below.

NOTE:  I am aware that soldiers did not wear camo during the Vietnam war.  However, due to the fact that our rather American looking ensemble would be playing both the Marines and the Vietnamese army, we thought it would be preferable to have the American Marines in camo to help the audience quickly discern which was which.
